Perfectly seared to create a crispy skin while keeping the salmon tender and juicy inside, it’s a simple yet nutritious meal.
Pair it with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a well-balanced, heart-healthy option.
Ingredients
4 Alaskan salmon fillets (wild-caught preferred)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh herbs (optional: dill, parsley, or thyme)
Instructions
Step 1
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
Step 3
Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them to allow the skin to become crispy.
Step 4
Flip the fillets carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through but still moist in the center.
Step 5
Remove from the heat and drizzle fresh lemon juice over the salmon. Garnish with fresh herbs like dill, parsley, or thyme for added flavor and nutritional benefits.
Step 6
Serve immediately with a side of roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a fresh green salad.
Tips
For even more flavor, marinate the salmon in lemon juice and herbs for 30 minutes before searing.
Ensure your pan is hot enough to create a crispy, golden crust without overcooking the salmon.
